NFL Draft 2012, Chandler Jones: Syracuse Defensive End Riding Solid Workouts

Syracuse defensive end Chandler Jones has used the NFL Draft evaluation process as well as anyone, climbing from his original perch as a fourth-round pick to where he is now, when even the first round has become a possibility.

Drafttek's latest 2012 NFL Mock Draft has Jones being selected in the second round, with the 50th pick by the Chicago Bears. Noting Jones' impressive wingspan, Drafttek explains how Jones' athletic ability should make him a threat to throttle the quarterback in any down or situation.

It's Jones' athletic profile that has made him a first-round possibility; as Jesse Bartolis of NFL Mocks points out, Jones' NFL Combine number are similar to the ones posted by New York Giants All-Pro defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul.
