Chandler Jones 2012 NFL Draft Update: Draft Tek Mock Gives Him To Titans in Third Round

Opinions on how early former Syracuse defensive end Chandler Jones will be selected in the 2012 NFL Draft have varied wildly throughout the draft process. Some have pegged the 6-foot-6, 265-pound Jones as a late first-round pick. Others have him being selected in the third or fourth round.

In Draft Tek’s most recent 2012 NFL Draft Simulation, released Tuesday, Jones went to the Tennessee Titans in the third round, 83rd overall.

Jones received attention from the New York Giants during the recent Syracuse Pro Day. The Giants, of course, have a history of drafting and developing pass-rushing defensive ends, although right now they appear fairly well-stocked at the position.

Safety Phillip Thomas was the only other Syracuse player taken in the Draft Tek simulation. Thomas also went to Tennessee in Round 5, 147th overall.
