Syracuse Basketball Vs. Kansas State: Reaction From Orange's NCAA Tournament Victory, 75-59

The East Region's top-seeded Syracuse Orange advance to the NCAA Tournament's Sweet 16 round Saturday, as they down the Kansas St. Wildcats 75-59in Pittsburgh, Pa. The Orange (33-2) will now face either No. 4 Wisconsin Badgers or No. 5 Vanderbilt Commodores next week in Boston, Ma.

The victory helped the Orange move onto the Sweet 16 for the third time in four March Madness, as last season the Orange lost to the Marquette Golden Eagles in the Round of 32. Syracuse hasn't advance to the Elite 8 since its National Champion run in 2003.

Things got so bad in the first half, Jardine didn't even want to be a part of the game:



Things started to turn around, though, as senior forward Kris Joseph, who tallied 11 points and made this nifty basket.



In the end, Syracuse used a few good runs in the second half to pull away. The emotions of the victory are all show on former Orangemen Dereck Coleman.
