Syracuse Vs. Georgetown Halftime Score: No. 12 Hoyas Lead No. 2 Orange, 31-27

Junior forward Hollis Thompson has netted a team-best eight points and collected a game-best five rebounds to help the No. 12-ranked Georgetown Hoyas take a 31-27 halftime lead on the Syracuse Orange in a Big East Conference men's basketball game at the Carrier Dome. Behind Thompson effort and an astonishing rebound deferential of 26-16 over Syracuse, the Hoyas are on the verge of an upset.

Senior forward Kris Joseph has netted a game-best 12 points for Syracuse, which began the game just 1-for-7 from the floor and ended the half 9-for-31 (29.0-percent). Sophomore center Fab Melo has added 4 and collected five rebounds -- he's just one of two players that collected more than one rebound for SU.

Meanwhile, sophomore guard Markel Starks seven points for the Hoyas, while senior guard Jason Clark has six. Overall, Georgetown shot 39.4-percent from the floor and just 3-for-13 from behind the 3-point line.
