The St. John's Red Storm won their third consecutive game and did so in impressive fashion, upsetting the No. 18 Notre Dame Fighting Irish, 61-58, snapping their nine-game winning streak in the process.
The Red Storm kept the Fighting Irish at arm's length for most of the second half, leading by near-double digits throughout. The Fighting Irish began cutting into the lead with about six minutes remaining in the game, but were never able to tie the game.
Moe Harkless led the game in scoring with 22 points on 16 shots. He also added nine rebounds, three steals and two blocks.
St. John's will finish the regular season on the road, as it travels to Pittsburgh Feb. 29 and finishes at Rutgers March 3.
