Senior point guard Scoop Jardine tallied all eight of points during a 17-0 run that has help the No. 2-ranked Syracuse Orange take a 24-20 halftime lead over the South Florida Bulls in a Big East Conference men's basketball game at the Carrier Dome.
The Bulls jumped out to a 13-point advantage, 20-7, about 11 minutes into the contest thanks to hitting 60-pecent of their shots and outrebounding Syracuse 14-3. The USF defense also held the Orange to under 25-percent shooting.
However, Syracuse rallied behind Jardine and a solid-defensive effort that held USF scoreless for the next 8:52.
Sophomore C.J. Fair finished with seven points and three rebounds, while USF's junior forward Toarlyn Fitzpatrick netted a team-best six points.
