Syracuse defensive lineman Chandler Jones is expected to join three teammates at the school's NFL Pro Day on March 8, the NFL announced on Monday.
Jones will be joined by tight end Nick Provo, free safety Phillip Thomas and offensive lineman Andrew Tiller, who have all previously been invited to the NFL Combine. Pro Days are not as highly-populated by NFL evaluators as the Combine, but nonetheless provide NFL Draft prospects with an opportunity to impress scouts and front office decision-makers.
Jones, whose stock has been rising like leavened bread during workouts and All-Star games, is expected to receive more interest than any of his former Orange teammates. Once thought to be a third- or fourth-round selection, the 6-foot-5, 265-pound defensive end now has a chance to be selected in the first round.
