Syracuse Vs. West Virginia Halftime Score: No. 3 Orange Lead Mountaineers, 28-24

Despite senior forward Kevin Jones netting a game-best 11 points, the West Virginia Mountaineers trail at halftime, 28-24, against the No. 3-ranked Syracuse Orange in a Big East Conference game at the Carrier Dome. The Orange (21-1, 8-1 Big East) used a 12-2 run at the end of the half to take the one-point lead into the locker room.

Syracuse trailed 22-16 with about 5 1/2 minutes to go in the half, but got a four points from each junior guard Brandon Triche and Kris Joseph and a buzzer-beating 3-pointer from senior point guard Scoop Jardine to take a four-point lead heading into halftime.

Jardine finished the half with seven points, while Triche added six, Joseph tallied four as Syracuse went just 2-for-11 from behind the 3-point arc.

The Mountaineers (15-6, 5-3 Big East) opened the game with a 13-7 lead just about five minutes into the game, as they made five of their first eight shots and snagged seven rebounds to SU's one.
