Senior forward Kris Joseph has netted a team-best six points and junior forward James Southerland added five for the Syracuse Orange who lead the Cincinnati Bearcats, 28-25, at halftime of a Big East Conference men's basketball game at the Fifth Third Arena in Cincinnati, OH.
Syracuse trailed 25-22 with 1:37 to go in the half, but used four points from Joseph and a 3-pointer from sophomore guard Dion Waiters, respectively, to take a four-point advantage into halftime.
The Bearcats raced out to a quick 13-6 lead thanks to nailing four of their first five 3-point shots, including three from junior guard Cashmere Wright, who made all of them from about 24-feet out.
Syracuse answered with a 9-0 run, which included four points from sophomore forward C.J. Fair and a old fashioned 3-point play from Southerland, to tie the game at 19 with 12:08 to play.
Wright finished with a team-best nine points for Cincinnati, while senior forward Yancy Gates chipped in with six points.
