Nine Big East Conference teams found their way into the final AP Top 25 NCAA College Basketball Rankings on the day prior to tip-off of the Big East Tournament. Among them, two are in the Top 5 and Syracuse checked in at No. 11.
↵Pittsburgh (27-4) is ranked No. 3 in the country, and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish (25-5) are No. 4. Louisville (23-8) is No. 14, St. John's (20-10) is No. 17, West Virginia (20-10) is No. 20, Connecticut (21-9) is No. 21, Georgetown (21-9) is No. 22 and Cincinnati (24-7) is No. 25.
↵Ohio State, fresh off an impressive victory over No. 13 Wisconsin, is No. 1 in the country. The Duke Blue Devils are No. 2.
↵Syracuse (25-6) has won four straight heading into Big East Conference Tournament play after enduring a rough stretch in which the Orange lost six of eight games.
