The Syracuse Orange will test their new No. 1 ranking for the first time on Saturday night, when they travel to Raleigh, N.C. to meet the North Carolina State Wolfpack (6:30 p.m., ESPN 2). It will be Syracuse's first road tilt of the season.

Syracuse has begun the season with 10 straight wins for the third consecutive year, riding a balanced, experienced offense. The Orange beat George Washington last Saturday, 85-50, behind a career-high 19 points for Dion Waiters. Waiters led six Syracuse players who scored at least eight points.

NC State, which has five players averaging between 11.9 and 12.8 points, has lost two out of three games to fall to 6-3. The Wolfpack are 5-25 all-time against number one-ranked teams, and have not beaten the nation's top-ranked team since downing Duke 78-74 on Feb. 15, 2004.
