College Basketball Rankings: Syracuse No. 3 In USA Today/ESPN Coaches Poll

After moving to 6-0 with a thrilling comeback victory against Stanford, the Syracuse Orange climbed to No. 3 in the latest USA Today/ESPN college basketball coaches poll on Monday.

Kentucky took over the top spot vacated by North Carolina, who lost to UNLV in the championship of the Las Vegas Invitational. Ohio State was No. 2, followed by Syracuse, Duke and North Carolina. The top ten was rounded out by Louisville, Wisconsin, Baylor, Florida and UConn.

Syracuse returns to the court against Eastern Michigan on Tuesday before hosting No. 9 Florida on Friday. The Orange have been led to their undefeated start by Kris Joseph, Dion Waiters and Brandon Triche. The trio of returners is averaging a combined 28.8 points, led by Joseph's 15.3.

Due to its upset of North Carolina, UNLV jumped to No. 20 after being unranked last week. Missouri was another big mover, improving from No. 21 to No. 13 after three dominant wins against Notre Dame, California and Binghamton.
