After opening the season with a win against Fordham, Syracuse remains No. 5 in the AP's first regular-season Top 25 Poll.
North Carolina remained a runaway choice at No. 1, receiving 62 of 65 first-place votes. Kentucky (No. 2) received one first-place vote, and UConn (No. 4) had the other.
North Carolina was followed by Kentucky, Ohio State, UConn and Syracuse in the top five. Duke, Florida, Louisville, Pittsburgh and Memphis rounded out the top ten.
Syracuse beat Fordham 78-53 on Saturday behind a balanced offensive effort. Eleven players scored for the Orange, led by Kris Joseph with 16 and Dion Waiters with 14.
