Syracuse 31, Tulane 27: End Of Third Quarter

A 49-yard field goal by sophomore kicker Cairo Santos has help Tulane University pull within four points, 31-27, of Syracuse University in non-conference football contest at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans. The Green Wave have scored 23-unanswered points to climb back into a game, which featured them trailing 31-14 late in the first half.

Tulane junior quarterback Ryan Griffin has completed 83.3 percent of his passes (20-of-24) for 232 yards and two touchdowns. Currently, Griffin has completed 13 straight passes.

The Orange offense, which began the game on fire, has gone ice cold. After shredding through the Green Wave defense in the first half, Syracuse failed to move the ball into Tulane territory in the third quarter. Senior quarterback Ryan Nassib is just 13-of-23 for 132 yards.
