Big East Football: Chandler Jones, Dorian Graham Earn Weekly Big East Awards

Syracuse University senior defensive end Chandler Jones, who tallied six solo tackles and two sacks in the Orange's thrilling, 40-23, victory over nationally-ranked West Virginia University Friday night, earned the Big East Conference Defensive Player of the Week Monday. Jones, who missed the last five game with a lower body injury, helped SU's defense hold the high-octane WVU offense to just 70-rushing yards and a its second-lowest point total of the season.

Meanwhile, a 98-yard kickoff return for a touchdown helped senior wide receiver Dorian Graham collect the Big East's Special Team Player of the Week honors. Graham, who also caught five passes for 66 yards, finished the game with 181 all-purpose yards and helped the Orange gain a 21-6, second-quarter advantage.

And, for the sixth time this season, senior quarterback Ryan Nassib was named to the Big East Honor Roll. Nassib finished completing 24-of-32 passes for 229 yards and four touchdowns.
