A Syracuse University basketball Legends Game will highlight the team's Midnight Madness event at the Carrier Dome Friday night. Teams are eligible to begin practice October 15, and the Orange will be one of the school's hosting a Midnight Madness event.
Derrick Coleman, Hakim Warrick, Billy Owens, Pearl Washington, John Wallace, Donte Greene, Jonny Flynn, Wes Johnson, Roosevelt Bouie and Andy Rautins are all expected to play in the game, a 10-minute scrimmage during Syracuse's Midnight Madness event.
Rapper Meek Mill will also perform at the Midnight Madness event, according to The Post-Standard. Fellow rapper Tone Loc was originally scheduled to perform, but after the rapper pleaded no contest to domestic violence and other charges, Mill, a part of Rick Ross's Maybach Music Group, was added as a replacement.
The Midnight Madness event will provide the first opportunity for fans to see the 2011-12 versions of the Syracuse Men's and Women's basketball teams. Both teams had successful campaigns last season, ending with berths to the NCAA tournament, and figure to be competitive again this year.
Doors open at 7 p.m. and the event is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m.
If you have not bought tickets or do not live near the Carrier Dome, ESPN3.com will be streaming the entire event. The link will go live at 7:30 p.m.
