2012 College Football schedule: Syracuse aims for bowl eligibility against Missouri

Syracuse's out-of-conference tussle with Missouri could help them become bowl eligible.

Mark Konezny-US PRESSWIRE

Aiming for bowl eligibility, the Syracuse Orange travel out of conference to take on the Missouri Tigers in Week 12 as the season winds down and teams jockey for bowl positioning and the final weeks of conference competition. The 5-5 Orange need just one win in their final two games against the Tigers and the Temple Owls to become bowl eligible for the 2012 season.

The Rutgers Scarlet Knights will aim for a key victory over the Cincinnati Bearcats to keep their position in the race for the Big East's crown and lone BCS bowl bid. If the Scarlet Knights can stay unbeaten in Big East play, they would control their own destiny for the Big East championship as they play the Louisville Cardinals during the season's final weekend.

The Army Black Knights will take on the Temple Owls in an interesting meeting between the independent Black Knights and the Big East's Owls.
