Syracuse vs. UConn score: Orange lead Huskies, 20-10, at halftime

A pair of second-quarter touchdowns has helped the the Syracuse Orange extended their lead over the Connecticut Huskies to 20-10. The Big East Conference football game has reached the conclusion of the first half.

Running back Adonis Ameen-Moore scored the Orange's first touchdown on a one-yard rush, while tight end Beckett Wales caught a two-yard pass from senior quarterback Ryan Nassib. Wales score came with 1:19 to play in the first half and answered a touchdown drive from UConn, which had cut the lead to 13-10.

UConn's second-quarter score came via a 32-yard pass from Chandler Whitmer to tight end Ryan Griffin, who caught a cross-field throw and run nearly untouched into the end zone.

Nassib finished the second half 7-for-12 with 104 passing yards and a touchdown, while running back Jerome Smith finished the half with 60 rushing yards on nine carries. The SU defense has collected two sacks and forced a fumble, which helped setup Ameen-Moore's third touchdown of the year.

Meanwhile, Whitmer is 14-for-23 with 190 yards and a touchdown.
