A not-so-pleasing weather forecast, which is calling for a 75-percent chance of rain mixed with wind, has pushed Friday's men's college basketball showdown between the No. 9-ranked Syracuse Orange and No. 20 San Diego St. Aztecs to Sunday.
The non-conference contest, which is being called the "Battle on the Midway" because its being played on the deck of the aircraft carrier museum, the U.S.S. Midway, will begin at 4 ET. TV information will be available during an official press conference that will be held at 7 p.m.
Syracuse head coach Jim Boeheim said Tuesday the game will only be moved indoors as a last resort. If it is moved to an indoor facility, the game will more than likely be played at the Valley View Casino Center.
According to the National Weather Service, Sunday's forecast is calling for mostly clear skies with a low around 58 and no chance of rain.
