Syracuse vs. Wagner final score: Orange romp past Seahawks, 88-57

Senior guard Brandon Triche scored a game-high 21 points to help propel the No. 8-ranked Syracuse Orange to an easy 88-57 victory over the Wagner Seahawks in a men's college basketball game at the Carrier Dome.

Senior forward James Southerland and junior center Baye Keita each added 15 for the Orange (2-0), who forced 21 turnovers and shot 50-percent from the field (32-for-64). Backup center Baye Keita

The Seahawks (0-2) were paced by senior forward Jonathon Williams' 14 points and nine rebounds, while teammate junior guard Kenneth Ortiz's scored 11 points.

Overall, Wagner shot just 33-percent from the floor (20-for-61) and was out-rebounded, 49-36.

Early in the first half, Wagner did lead 13-11 after Latif Rivers driled a 3-pointer just seven minutes into the game. However, the SU defense stiffened forcing the Seahawks to finish out the half shooting 4-for-22 (19-percent) and helped the Orange earn a 36-23 lead heading the locker room.

From there, the Orange never looked back.

On Wednesday, Syracuse host the Princeton Tigers (7 p.m. ET), while Wagner does not play until Nov. 24 against NCCU (1 p.m.).
