The latest men's college basketball rankings are out, and the Syracuse Orange moved up to No. 8 in the AP Poll. The Orange (1-0), who were slotted No. 9 in the Preseason AP Poll, leapfrogged the Duke Blue Devils after Sunday's impressive 62-49 victory victory over the San Diego St. Aztecs.
The loss dropped San Diego State from No. 20 to 25.
The top of the AP Poll remained the same with the Indiana Hoosiers, Louisville Cardinals, Kentucky Wildcats, Ohio St. Buckeyes and Michigan Wolverines rounding out the top 5.
The N.C. State Wolfpack and Kansas Jayhawks were ranked just ahead of Syracuse, respectively.
