The Syracuse Orange men's basketball program is quickly try to solidify its recruiting class of 2013, and it may do it next week when Ron Patterson will make an official visit to the campus (via the Indianapolis Star).
Patterson, a 6'3, 195-pound, three-star guard according to Rivals, is also being courted by the Boston College Eagles, Providence Friars, Connecticut Huskies, Miami Hurricanes, Xavier Musketeers and SMU Mustangs. The Indianapolis native was once a target of the Indiana Hoosiers, however, he did not qualify academically. Patterson has spent the last year at the prep school Brewster Academy (N.H.)
If Syracuse can land Patterson it would more than likely be done recruiting for the Class of 2013, as five-star point guard Tyler Ennis, three-star small forward B.J. Johnson and three-star center power forward Chinonso Obokoh have all verbally committed to SU.
If the Orange are able to accomplish that they can move onto the Class of '14 where they're already getting a head start on targets like Chris McCullough and Isaiah Whitehead, who're both top 15 prospects.
