St. John's Vs. Rutgers Preview: Red Storm, Scarlet Knights Conclude Regular Seasons Saturday

The St. John's Red Storm and Rutgers Scarlet Knights jockey for Big East conference tournament seeding Saturday night when both teams wrap up their regular seasons at 8 p.m. at the Louis Brown Athletic Center. (MSG, ESPN3)

St. John's has won three out of four to move to 5-5 since instituting an all-freshman starting lineup in late January, but got thumped by Pittsburgh on Wednesday, 89-69. Freshman D'Angelo Harrison had 21 points against Pittsburgh, but St. John's allowed 63.3 percent shooting as its three-game winning streak was snapped.

Rutgers beat Seton Hall last Saturday to end a six-game skid, but fell right back into the loss column Thursday against Villanova, 77-71. The Scarlet Knights got 40 combined points from the freshman guard trio of Myles Mack (15 points), Eli Carter (14) and Jerome Seagears (11), but could not fight all the way back from an 18-point second-half deficit.
