Natalie Novosel has scored a game-high 10 points to help the No. 1-seeded Notre Dame Fighting Irish earn a 35-13 lead over No. 5 St. Bonaventure Bonnies in a NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament, Sweet 16 contest in Raleigh, Nc. The winner advances to the Elite 8 to play No. 2 Maryland Terrapins on Tuesday.
St. Bonaventure started the game missing nine of its first 10 shots, and finished the half making just 16-percent. Sophomore guard Doris Ortega leads the Bonnie in scoring with seven points, while Cece Dixon (5) and Jennie Ashton (1) are the only other St. Bonaventure players to net a points.
Overall, Notre Dame has shot 42-percent from the floor and has out-rebounded the Bonnies, 24-19.
