The St. John's Red Storm women's basketball team, the No. 3 seed in the Fresno Region, will begin their possible march toward the NCAA Tournament's Final Four Sunday, as they play the No. 14 seed Creighton Bluejays in a first-round contest at 5:05 p.m. ET on ESPN2. The winner will move onto the second round to face either the No. 6 seed Oklahoma Sooners or No. 11 seed Michigan Wolverines on Tuesday in Norman, OK.
After finishing the regular season with a 22-9 overall record, the Red Storm earned their highest-ever seed in the NCAA Tournament. St. John's previous high ca,e in 2010, when they earned a No. 6 seed.
Meanwhile, the Bluejays earned an automatic bid into the tournament by winning the Missouri Valley Conference Championship.
