The 2012 Women's NCAA Tournament selection show will air on Monday at 7 p.m. on ESPN. While Baylor (34-0) is guaranteed to take home the overall No. 1 seed and Stanford, UConn and Notre Dame are expected to land the other No. 1 seeds, several New York area teams are also awaiting their seeding.
St. John's (22-9), St. Bonaventure (29-3) and Rutgers (22-9) are all ranked in the Top 25. According to the latest Bracketology post by analyst Charlie Creme at ESPN, St. John's could be a 3-seed against 14-seed San Diego State in the Raleigh regional. St. Bonaventure is projected to be a 6-seed against 11-seed UTEP in the Fresno regional. Rutgers is slotted as a 7-seed against 10-seed Middle Tennessee State in the Kingston regional.
Rutgers lost to UConn in the Big East Tournament quarterfinal and would be an at-large selection. St. John's lost to UConn in the Big East Tournament semifinal and would also be an at-large selection. St. Bonaventure won the Atlantic 10 regular season crown with an unbeaten conference record but fell to Dayton in the A-10 Tournament championship game.
