St. John's Vs. Georgetown: Red Storm Get Second Crack At Hoyas

The St. John's Red Storm visit the No. 12-ranked Georgetown Hoyas Sunday (1 p.m. on ESPN) at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C.

The St. John's Red Storm have had little success against ranked opponents this season and that's just what they will face Sunday, as they visit the No. 12-ranked Georgetown Hoyas in a Big East Conference men's basketball game (1 p.m. on ESPN) at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C.

The Red Storm have lost all nine of their games against ranked teams this year, but will get a second chance to down the Hoyas, who defeated the Johnnies, 69-49, on Jan. 15. The Red Storm (10-14, 4-8 Big East) will also be looking to snap a two-game losing streak.

Freshman guard D'Angelo Harrison, who paces St. John's in scoring with 16.4 points per game, is hoping to do better than his five-point performance against the Hoyas the first time out.

Meanwhile, Georgetown is trying to bounce-back from a 64-61 overtime loss to long-time Big East rival, the Syracuse Orange, Wednesday.

Senior guard Jason Clark enters as the Hoyas' top scorer with 15.0 ppg, while Hollis Thompson is the conference's best 3-point option (47.9-percent).

The Hoyas haven't lost to the Johnnies at home since Jan. of 2003.
