St. John's Basketball: Louisville's Kyle Kuric Has 14 Points To Help Cardinals Lead 44-31 At Halftime

Junior guard Kyle Kuric has netted 14 points, including four 3-pointers, to help the Louisville Cardinals (No. 19 in the AP poll and No. 15 in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches poll) take a 44-31 advantage into halftime over the St. John’s Red Storm at the KFC Yum! Center.

The Cardinals (14-3, 3-1 Big East) led by as much as 21-points, 40-19, with about five minutes to play in the half. Kuric netted all of his 3-point shots during an eight-minute span that featured a 27-6 run by the Cardinals, which shot 7 of 10 from 3-point land.

Freshman Paris Horne has netted a team-best eight points for St. John’s (14-3, 3-1). Johnnies senior forward Justin Brownlee netted five points in the first seven minutes of the game to help the Red Storm tie the game at 13-13. However, Brownlee never scored after that. Senior guard Dwight Hardy has seven points.
