Rutgers University will prepare as if Arkansas quarterback Tyler Wilson will be starting on Saturday night, according to head coach Kyle Flood.
Wilson was forced to sit out the Razorbacks embarrassing 52-0 loss against Alabama due to concussion symptoms stemming from a blow to the head sustained in an overtime loss to the ULM Warhawks. Wilson has remained day-to-day since the injury. Flood is well aware of Wilson's ability to change a game and will prepare his 3-0 Rutgers team as if he will be their opponent.
Via Rutgers' official website:
"I know it's hard when you lose your starting quarterback, and he is a tremendous, tremendous football player, and we are preparing as if he's playing this week. I would imagine that with him on the field, they will be a completely different team. He's one of the elite quarterbacks in the country, a great challenge for our defense to defend him."
Arkansas will be entering the game at 1-2 and is coming off consecutive losses. Rutgers has scored at least 23 points in all three victories this season.
Saturday's game is tentatively scheduled for 7 p.m. at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville, Arkansas and will be televised on ESPN U.
