Multiple media outlets including Brett McMurphy of CBSSportsline.com are reporting that the Rutgers-USF game scheduled for September 15th in Tampa has been moved up and will now be played on Thursday, September 13th at 7:30 PM. The game will be broadcasted nationally on ESPN.
↵Both teams will have to face short weeks, but the Scarlet Knights should have an easier turnaround from the previous week. USF will have to travel across the country to take on Nevada the Saturday before while the Scarlet Knights stay at home and face FCS Howard University. Rutgers should be able to rest their starters for part of the game while building up an early lead against the Bison.
↵This game will be the Big East opener for both teams, and is the first conference game for new Rutgers head coach Kyle Flood, who replaced Greg Schiano after he left to take the head coaching job for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
