Three former Rutgers Scarlet Knights football players -- wide receiver Mohamed Sanu, defensive lineman Justin Francis and offensive lineman Desmond Wynn -- are expected to participate in the school's NFL Pro Day, giving them a chance to impress evaluators as the 2012 NFL Draft approaches, the NFL announced on Monday.
The school's Pro Day will be held on March 21 as part of the NFL's Pro Day circuit, during which NFL scouts and front office decision-makers flock to schools around the country for a month to evaluate the top NFL prospects.
Sanu, a 6-foot-2, 215-pounder, headlines the crop of Rutgers draft prospects. He is widely expected to become a first round pick in the NFL Draft; the latest SB Nation 2012 Mock Draft has Sanu going to the Houston Texans with the No. 26 pick.
