Rutgers Football Recruiting 2012 Update: Scarlet Knights Pulling In Top 25 Class On National Signing Day 2012

The Rutgers football program led by newly appointed head coach Kyle Flood is pulling in its best recruiting class in years on National Signing Day 2012. Rutgers football already received national letters of intent from five-star defensive end Darius Hamilton (Ramsey, NJ), four-star wide receiver Leonte Carroo (Ramsey, NJ), four-star linebacker Quanzell Lambert (Sicklerville, NJ) and four-star offensive linemen J.J. Denman (Fairles Hills, PA) and Christ Muller (Boyertown, PA).

Unless there's any new late signees -- three-star linebacker Tashon Whitehurst is reportedly choosing to attend South Florida over Rutgers and Syracuse -- this should be the Class of 2012 for the Scarlat Knights program, which is currently ranked No. 23 overall by Rivals, No. 33 by Scout.com and No. 18 by 247sports.com.

At 2 p.m., Flood will address the media and discuss this years recruiting class.
