Coach Greg Schiano was Rutgers' head coach for 12 seasons and is responsible for putting the school on the map. During Schiano's tenure Rutgers have been to six bowl games, won five and produced NFL-quality talent like Ray Rice and Kenny Britt. Schiano has now left to become the head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and National Signing Day a little more than a week away, the Scarlet Knights are already lining up candidates to replace Schiano.
According to Tom Luicci of The Star-Ledger, here are five guys who appear to be on Rutgers' radar: Steve Addazio, Mario Cristobal, Pat Flaherty, James Franklin and Bobby Diaco. Addazio is the head coach of Temple, Cristobal is Florida International's head coach, Flaherty is the New York Giants' offensive line coach, Franklin is the head coach at Vanderbilt and Diaco is Notre Dame's defensive coordinator.
