Syracuse Basketball Schedule: Rutgers Will Host Orange At Sold Out RAC

The Big East Conference men's basketball showdown between the currently No. 1-ranked Syracuse Orange and Rutgers Scarlet Knights is exactly a month away from happening, and if you planned on going to the Feb. 12 contest in Piscataway, NJ but haven't bought tickets yet, well, you're out of luck.

According to an official release from the Rutgers Athletic Department Thursday, the game is already sold out.

More Syracuse and Rutgers sellouts after the jump...

Now, Syracuse fans are known to travel well, actually really well, especially in the New York City-New Jersey areas and this probably is one of the biggest reasons for the sell out. Add that the Scarlet Knights are off to one of their best Big East starts in program history, have knocked off two top 10 programs at the RAC this year and the Orange are the No. 1 team in the country adds some anticipation to the contest.

Carrier Dome Attendance Record In Jeopardy -- Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician (Dec. 28)

This season, the RAC is averaging 4,718 fans per game, a clip that is just shy of last season's mean of 5,602. However, one has to think with six more Big East home games, including the meetings with SU and New Jersey rival Seton Hall Pirates, Feb. 8, the Scarlet Knights could have their highest attendance average since '06 (5,886).
