Rutgers Vs. Notre Dame: TV Schedule, Game Time And More

The Scarlet Knights of Rutgers (10-8, 2-3) will be hosting the Notre Dame Fighting Irish (11-7, 3-2) at the Louis Brown Athletic Center Monday night in Big East Conference basketball action. The game is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET and can be seen on ESPNU.

Expect a defensive battle in this one. Both teams struggle to score, with Rutgers ranking 180th and Notre Dame coming in at 149th. The Scarlet Knights will need to contain Eric Atkins and Jerian Grant, who are each averaging 13 points per game. The Irish will be aware of the sensational freshmen duo of Eli Carter and Myles Mack who are averaging 14 and 10 points respectively.

Notre Dame will have to rebound better than they have. While the Scarlet Knights aren't a force on the glass, they do clean it better than the Irish. In a game where every point will be at a premium, Notre Dame can ill afford to give up easy buckets.

This is a huge contest for both squads. The Irish sit at eighth in the Big East standings while Rutgers is looking up at them in 11th.
