Rutgers Vs. Pittsburgh Final Score: Scarlet Knights Stay Hot With 63-39 Win

The Rutgers Scarlet Knights pulled off a big upset last Saturday by beating the UConn Huskies. If they had any kind of hangover from that win, it was nowhere to be seen on Wednesday night. Rutgers evened its Big East record on with a convincing 62-39 victory over the Pittsburgh Panthers.

Freshman guard Eli Carter built on his big night against the Huskies by leading Rutgers in scoring for the second consecutive game. He had 14 points, three rebounds and two assists. Junior Dane Miller had 11 points, 12 rebounds, two assists, one steal and two blocked shots for the top all-around performance from the Scarlet Knights.

This was the fifth straight loss for Pitt, which went on a nine-game winning streak before hitting their current skid.

Rutgers' arrow is trending upward with six wins in its last eight games, including upsets over UConn and Florida. The Scarlet Nights are now 10-7 overall and 2-2 in the Big East.

Rutgers plays on the road this Saturday against the West Virginia Mountaineers.
