Unlike last week, the majority of the Big East Conference football games will be played Saturday. So, with a large chunk of games scheduled, I figured it be a nice to make some predictions.
Rutgers at North Carolina (-10): The Scarlet Knights go on the road for the first time this season and face an opponent that on paper has more talent. This will be a tough one for RU, which I think is going to lose.
Maine at Pittsburgh (-30): Last week, the Panthers rolled over non-conference opponent Buffalo, 36-16. The same should happen this week as Pitt rolls.
Norfolk State at West Virginia (-47 1/2): There's no doubt that the Mountaineers are going to win this game. However, I don't think they're going to cover the big spread.
Cincinnati at Tennessee (-4 1/2): One of the top teams in the Big East visits one of the predicted bottom feeders of the touted SEC. If Cincinnati can put some point on the board, I like them to keep this game close. But, I just think the Volunteers are too solid at home.
Rhode Island at Syracuse (-24 1/2): This shouldn't be a game come halftime. At least, that's what Orange fans hope.
Ball State at South Florida (-20): After winning at South Bend last week, the Bulls might have a first-half lull. However, they should win in the end.
Connecticut at Vanderbilt (-2 1/2): Another Big East vs. SEC showdown. This one, however, features two teams that aren't predicted to do well in its respective conferences. Again, I am taking the host SEC team.
