Rutgers is looking to move to 5-0 at home in its first ever meeting against LSU. The Scarlet Knights defeated UMBC 94-56 on Monday night, recording 27 assists, the team's highest single-game total since 1992. Freshman point guard Myles Mack shot 7-of-9 and scored 20 points to lead the way. Gilvydas Biruta, who leads Rutgers in both scoring (12.1) and rebounding (6.4), added 13 points.
LSu (4-3) has won three of its last four games, including a 59-58 victory against Houston on Tuesday. Storm Warren scored 12 points off the bench for the Tigers and drilled a pair of free throws with 1.2 seconds left to deliver the win. The Tigers have a balanced attack, with four players averaging between 11 and 12 points, led by Andrew Stringer with 12.0.
