Big East Football Standings 2012: Louisville remains unbeaten after Temple win

The Louisville Cardinals stomped Temple to move to 9-0 on the season, the last team in the conference to stay undefeated. Rutgers, still without a Big East loss, was idle.

The No. 9 Louisville Cardinals are still the class of the Big East, as they blew out the Temple Owls 45-17 to remain the Big East's last undefeated team.

Temple stayed close early, keeping the game tied up until the score was 17-all, but the Cardinals were led by five touchdowns by Teddy Bridgewater for an easy win. The Cardinals stayed on top of the league at 9-0 and moved from No. 10 to No. 9 in the BCS standings.

Rutgers, still tied with Louisville atop the league standings as their only loss came out of conference play, was idle in Week 10. They'll play Louisville in the de facto title game Nov. 29 to end the season. Cincinnati kept pace with Louisville by beating Syracuse, but after a loss in the head-to-head matchup between the Bearcats and Cardinals, they're pretty much out of the race for the conference title.

Elsewhere in the conference, South Florida beat UConn in a battle of teams looking for their first conference win.
