2012 BCS rankings, Week 11: Rutgers at No. 23

Despite not playing this past weekend, the Rutgers Scarlet Knights jumped back into the BCS standings at No. 23.

Despite being idle this past weekend, the Rutgers Scarlet Knights jumped back into the latest BCS standings at No. 23. The Scarlet Knights had been unranked the week before after losing 35-23 on Oct. 27 to Kent State.

Rutgers is ranked No. 22 in the Harris Poll and No. 20 in the USA Today Coaches Poll. The Scarlet Knights are only ranked in the top 25 of two of the computer ranking systems, coming in at No. 24 in the Anderson & Hester ranking and No. 21 in the Colley Matrix.

Rutgers will be back in action this Saturday when they host Army.

There was a bit of a shake up in the top five of the new standings. Alabama stayed on top after their thrilling come from behind win over LSU, while Kansas State remained at No. 2. But Oregon jumped into the third spot ahead of Notre Dame, and Georgia slid into the fifth position.
