SB Nation's latest college football BlogPoll has been released, and for the first time in months the Rutgers Scarlet Knights are not ranked in the top 25. Rutgers (9-2) lost to the Pittsburgh Panthers, 27-6, last Saturday forcing a de facto Big East Conference championship game with the Louisville Cardinals on Thursday (7:30 p.m. on ESPN).
The Scarlet Knights did receive votes, but not enough to crack the top 25. Its highest ranking came from the blog Men of the Scarlet and Gray, which ranked Rutgers No. 18. The Scarlet Knights received several votes at No. 21, while a 24th and 25th rankings were also popular.
You can check out the voters' ballots here.
As for the rest of the top 25, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish remained the top-ranked team while the Alabama Crimson Tide, Oregon Ducks, Georgia Bulldogs and Florida Gators rounded out the top 5, respectively.
The biggest mover in the poll was the Northwestern Wildcats, who came in at No. 21, up seven sports, while the Texas Longhorns fell to No. 25, down seven spots.
