College Football Rankings, Week 14: Rutgers No. 25 in Coaches' Poll

Rutgers dropped to No. 25 in the USA Today Coaches' Poll after their 27-6 loss to Pittsburgh on Saturday.

Despite a horrific loss this weekend to Pittsburgh, the Rutgers Scarlet Knights nabbed the No. 25 spot in the USA Today Coaches' Poll. The Scarlet Knights fell six spots from No. 19.

Rutgers was thoroughly demolished 27-6 by Pitt on Saturday, so it's somewhat surprising the Scarlet Knights managed to stay in the poll. Rutgers only had 207 yards of offense against the Panthers and did not score until the tail end of the third quarter.

While Rutgers remained in the Coaches' Poll, the Scarlet Knights fell out of the latest BCS standings as well as the AP Poll. Rutgers had previously been ranked No. 18 in the BCS standings and No. 21 in the AP Poll.

Rutgers did still clinch a share of the Big East championship this weekend, as Louisville suffered a stunning home defeat at the hands of Connecticut. The Scarlet Knights and Cardinals play each other on Thursday at High Point Solutions Stadium.
