It's tough to say where most programs will play their bowl game this year, although some clarity is starting to come into place across the Big East. The conference winner will make a BCS bowl game -- likely the Orange Bowl in Florida -- while the others will fill up the conference's designated bowl slots.
The latest projections from Jerry Palm of CBS Sports has Rutgers making the Russell Athletic Bowl in Orlando, Fla. They would face off with N.C. State on Dec. 28. The Russell Athletic Bowl typically pits the Big East's No. 2 team against the ACC's No. 3 team. Palm believes Louisville will win the conference over Rutgers and make the Orange Bowl to face Florida State.
As for the rest of the BCS games, CBS Sports has the No. 1 Notre Dame Fighting Irish taking on the Alabama Crimson Tide for the national championship. Stanford would take on Kansas State in the Fiesta Bowl. Two storied programs in LSU and Oklahoma would battle for the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans, while the Oregon Ducks and Nebraska Cornhuskers will play at the Rose Bowl.
