The latest SB Nation college football BlogPoll was released Tuesday, and Saturday's 35-10 victory over the Temple Owls helped the Rutgers Scarlet Knights move up a spot. According to the voters, the Scarlet Knights (7-0) are the No. 18th-best team in the country. Last week, Rutgers was ranked 19th.
The Scarlet Knights are slotted slightly below the No. 16 Louisville Cardinals, who actually dropped a spot after edging the South Florida Bulls, 27-25, on Saturday. Rutgers and Louisville are the only other two Big East Conference schools ranked in the top 25, as the Cincinnati Bearcats dropped out of the poll after a 29-23 loss to the Toldeo Rockets.
Overall, the Alabama Crimson Tide remain the top-ranked team while the Florida Gators moved up to No. 2. The Oregon Ducks, Kasnas St. Wildcats and Notre Dame Fighting Irish rounded out the top 5.
