The Rutgers Scarlet Knights are an overwhelming favorite to remain undefeated Saturday when they host the Kent St. Golden Flashes in a non-conference game at High Point Solutions Stadium (3:30 p.m. on SNY). According to the oddsmakers the No. 15-ranked Scarlet Knights (7-0) are 13.5-point favorites over the Golden Flashes (6-1).
The game is projected to be a low-scoring affair as the over/under is set at 44.5 points. This season, Rutgers is 5-2 against the spread while Kent State is 6-1.
This will be the first meeting between the two programs since 2004 when Rutgers defeated Kent State, 29-21. All-time, the Scarlet Knights are 2-0 against the Golden Flashes.
Last week, Kent State defeated Western Michigan, 41-24, while Rutgers scored 35 points in the second half to rally to defeat the Temple Owls, 35-10, on the road.
The game is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on SNY.
