Saturday's 23-15 victory over the Syracuse Orange may have impressed the college football voters in the USA Today Coaches' and AP polls, but it did not convince SB Nation bloggers the Rutgers Scarlet Knights are worthy of a ranking better than 19th. That's the exact position Rutgers (6-0, 3-0 Big East Conference) was placed Tuesday in the latest SB Nation BlogPoll.
Last week, the Scarlet Knights were ranked No. 20th by the BlogPoll. Rutgers was ranked No. 17 and 19 by the Coaches' and AP polls this week.
Unlike most rankings, the Louisville Cardinals were the highest-ranked Big East team at No. 15. The Cincinnati Bearcats were slotted just below Rutgers at No. 21.
Overall, the BlogPoll's top 5 was relatively similar to other rankings as the Alabama Crimson Tide, Oregon Ducks, Florida Gators, Kansas St. Wildcats and Notre Dame Fighting Irish were all placed in that order.
