<p>Brook Lopez will miss the next two games for the Brooklyn Nets because of a mild sprain in his right foot.</p> <p><a href="https://www.netsdaily.com/" class="sbn-auto-link">Brooklyn Nets</a> center <span>Brook Lopez</span> will miss the next two games with a mild sprain in his right foot, according to the <a target="_blank" href="https://twitter.com/Nets_PR/status/274213028428394497">Nets Public Relations twitter account</a>.</p>
<p>The Nets also announced that Lopez received X-rays on his foot, and that the X-rays came back negative. Lopez did not play in the fourth quarter of Wednesday night's game against the <a href="https://www.celticsblog.com/" class="sbn-auto-link">Boston Celtics</a>, although the team did not announce the reason why he failed to play.</p>
<p>Lopez missed 61 of the team's 66 games last season with two different injuries in his right foot last season. Lopez missed the first 32 games last season with a broken bone in his right foot, <a target="_blank" href="http://www.nj.com/nets/index.ssf/2012/04/brook_lopez_said_the_injury_th.html">then broke a different bone</a> in his right foot in his fifth-game back for the Nets.</p>
<p>Lopez has played an important role for Brooklyn this season, who own a 10-4 record and are currently tied with the <a href="https://www.postingandtoasting.com/" class="sbn-auto-link">New York Knicks</a> for 1st place in the Atlantic Division. Lopez averages 18.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game.</p>

<p>The Brooklyn Nets and Boston Celtics have winning streaks on the line Wednesday.</p> <p>The <a href="https://www.netsdaily.com/" class="sbn-auto-link">Brooklyn Nets</a> will try to win their fourth game in a row Wednesday night when they travel to play the <a href="https://www.celticsblog.com/" class="sbn-auto-link">Boston Celtics</a> at 7:30 p.m. ET.</p>
<p>The Nets are 9-4 this season and sit atop the Atlantic Division. They've won games against the <a href="https://www.clipsnation.com/" class="sbn-auto-link">Los Angeles Clippers</a>, <a href="https://www.blazersedge.com/" class="sbn-auto-link">Portland Trail Blazers</a> and <a href="https://www.postingandtoasting.com/" class="sbn-auto-link">New York Knicks</a> to build their current streak.</p>
<p>The Celtics enter action Wednesday with an 8-6 record. The C's have won two in a row, beating the <a href="https://www.welcometoloudcity.com/" class="sbn-auto-link">Oklahoma City Thunder</a> on Friday and the <a href="https://www.orlandopinstripedpost.com/" class="sbn-auto-link">Orlando Magic</a> on Sunday.</p>
<p><span>Brook Lopez</span> is Brooklyn's leading scorer. The center is averaging 19.2 points per game, while also hauling in 6.5 rebounds. He's shooting 54 percent from the field.</p>
<p><span>Deron Williams</span> has also been effective this season, averaging 16.7 points and 8.9 assists per game. <span>Joe Johnson</span>, in his first year with the club, is putting up 15.2 points per game.</p>
<p>Boston is led by the never-aging <span>Paul Pierce</span>, who is averaging 20.1 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. Point guard <span>Rajon Rondo</span> continues to be a large part of the offense, averaging 13.5 points and 13.7 assists per game.</p>
