Today was the third and final day of the New York Jetsfull team workouts, which were held at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Despite having the on field workouts closed to the media, Mark Sanchez had this to say today (quotes courtesy of The Star Ledger) --

"A lot of guys did everything they could to make it here, so we really appreciated the effort," Sanchez said. "Flying across the country, I know Bart (Scott) had this TV show thing going on so he canceled one day to make it out, so that was important for us to get a big turnout. We made enough copies (of the playbook) for everybody here and passed them out, basically... we had our Power Points, we had our films and we went through each day exactly what we wanted to accomplish: specific routes, specific protections that all tied in together for days one, two and three."

Similar to "Jets West" there were player competitions to lighten the mood, with Kyle Wilson and Joe McKnight winning a team three-point contest and going home with designer suits as a reward. Nick Mangold also organized throwing challenges between the offensive lineman.

There were roughly 40 players in attendance, including Sanchez, Darrelle Revis, LaDainian Tomlinson, David Harris, Bart Scott, D'Brickashaw Ferguson and most of the other starters.

If the lockout isn't resolved in the coming weeks, Sanchez commented there could be more positional workouts. However, hopefully the next time the team gathers it will be in Florham Park or Cortland for training camp.

In an interview yesterday, quarterback Mark Sanchez discussed the possibility of organizing a full team lockout if the lockout continues to carry on:

"We want to see what's going to happen with this hearing tomorrow and see what kind of ruling they're thinking about. A ruling could come in the next week to three weeks — who knows? — so we wanted to be cognizant of that and see where that's going to take us before we plan something and have to cancel a bunch of flights."

Sanchez estimated that he would expect over 50 player to show up to these workouts if they occurred. It would be interesting to see where they would be held, with somewhere in North Jersey near Florham Park being the most likely location.

New England is currently having full team workouts with roughly 40 players in attendance. The Patriots are attempting to be much more secretive and deny any type of media access. Clearly, they don't want to lose a competitive edge as their secrecy paid off well when they faced the Jets in the playoffs last year.

First it was "Jets West" which featured the quarterbacks, running backs and receivers led by Mark Sanchez in California.

Then it was "Jets Southwest" which was Jets cornerbacks Darrelle Revis and Kyle Wilson working out in Arizona.

Then you had "Jets East" with players like Bart Scott, Vladimir Ducasse, Jerricho Cotchery, Jamaal Westerman, and more working out in Martinsville, New Jersey and then a few of them going to Miami to train with other AFC East players.

Now you have "Jets City Club" led by defensive lineman Sione Pouha, who gathered Mike DeVito, Ropati Pitoitua, first round pick Muhammad Wilkerson, and Westerman for workouts in North Jersey. Shaun Ellis and third round pick Kenrick Ellis are supposed to join later in the week.

It is good to see the leadership different players have taken, most notably Sanchez, Scott, and Pouha to make sure the team is still working out through the lockout.
