Just like with the AP and USA Today polls earlier this week, the Syracuse Orange are the only Big East Conference school to be recognized in this week’s College Football Blogpoll.

The Blogpoll is voted on by bloggers from SB Nation and other places, and is entirely unofficial. It’s fun, though, to compare how bloggers and ‘mainstream’ pollsters view the landscape.

The Blogpoll’s top teams Oregon, Auburn, TCU and Boise, flip-flopping TCU and Boise from the AP poll.

Oh, Syracuse? Back to the Orange. They snuck into the poll as an honorable mention with two votes. The folks from BlockU, covering Utah, and Men of the Scarlet and Gray, covering Ohio State, apparently like SU.

Syracuse is 7-3 on the season and became bowl eligible for the first time since 2004 with a 13-10 victory over Rutgers last Saturday. The Orange host the Connecticut Huskies Saturday night (7:30 p.m. ET) at the Carrier Dome.

For the second straight week, the Big East Conference failed to earn a spot in the AP and USA Today college football polls.

Syracuse (7-3, 4-2 Big East), which beat Rutgers, 13-10, on Saturday, earned honorable mention honors by receiving two points in the AP poll, tied for 33rd in the country. In the USA Today poll, the Cuse earned 13 points, also tied for 33rd.

Last week, the Orange received just two points in the AP and none in the USA Today.

After losing to Connecticut, 30-28, on Thursday, Pittsburgh (5-4, 3-1), the leader in the Big East standings, received no votes in any of the polls.

For the fifth straight week, Oregon (10-0 overall) earned the top spot in both polls. From No. 2 to No. 4 both polls had Auburn, Boise State and TCU. The only difference in the top 5 was the fifth spot where the USA Today had Wisconsin and the AP had LSU.

Central Florida, one of the many schools rumored to be apart of the Big East expansion, dropped out of the Top 25 polls after making it for the first time in school history. The Knights (7-3) held a 14-point lead against Southern Mississippi but lost 31-21.
