<p>Pittsburgh, PA (Sports Network) – <span>Alex Goligoski</span> scored 1:51 into overtime to give the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="https://www.pensburgh.com/">Pittsburgh Penguins</a> their first win in their new building with a 3-2 victory over the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="https://www.lighthousehockey.com/">New York Islanders</a> at <span class="caps">CONSOL</span> Energy Center.</p>
<p>In the extra session, <span>Milan Jurcina</span> was called for hooking less than a minute in to give the Pens a 4-on-3 advantage.</p>
<p>From the right point, <span>Evgeni Malkin</span> blasted a slap shot that hit off a body in front and kicked out to the left side where Goligoski slammed it home for the win.</p>
<p><span>Michael Rupp</span> and <span>Eric Tangradi</span> each had a goal in regulation for the Penguins, who had dropped their first three games at their new home. <span>Brent Johnson</span> made 22 stops in the victory.</p>
<p><span>Josh Bailey</span> and <span>Radek Martinek</span> each lit the lamp for the Islanders, who have dropped their past two, but have gotten at least a point in three of their four games this season. <span>Rick DiPietro</span> made 26 stops in the loss.</p>
<p>The Penguins got the first goal of the game on Rupp’s tally 4:07 into the second and the team made it 2-0 as a quick shot from Tangradi at the right circle hit off an Islander and snuck past DiPietro nearly three minutes later.</p>
<p>However, <span>Kris Letang</span> was called for a five-minute major on a shoulder check to <span>Blake Comeau</span> that was ruled a head shot and the Islanders were able to cut their deficit in half.</p>
<p>Comeau, who went to the bench after the hit but didn’t miss a shift, sent a shot from the left point that was intercepted by Bailey in front. Bailey took the puck and went to the forehand before wristing it past Johnson with 8:42 left in the second.</p>
<p>Less than two minutes later, New York tied the contest as <span>Zenon Konopka</span>’s pass from behind the net went to the slot for Martinek, who lasered it over the glove of Johnson.</p>
<p>Like the first period, the third period went scoreless to force overtime.</p>
<p>The Penguins play in Philly on Saturday…The Islanders host Colorado on Sunday…Pittsburgh took five of six from the Islanders in each of the past two seasons…New York was 1-for-6 on the power play while Pittsburgh was 1- for-8.</p>

Pittsburgh, which moved across the street from Mellon Arena, had a 25-12-4 record at home last year in the final season at the Igloo.</p>
<p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: 0px; outline-width: 0px; outline-style: initial; outline-color: initial; font-size: 13px; vertical-align: baseline; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: transparent; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; padding: 0px; border: 0px initial initial;">However, Pittsburgh has been close to getting a win in each of its three games at the new building, losing by just one goal in regulation in all three outings.</p>

<p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: 0px; outline-width: 0px; outline-style: initial; outline-color: initial; font-size: 13px; vertical-align: baseline; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: transparent; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; padding: 0px; border: 0px initial initial;">"I think in order to win hockey games and be a good team there has to be a certain level of execution," said Pittsburgh head coach Dan Bylsma. "If you don't have it you can't expect to be a good team and you can't expect to win. We have not done that with any consistency to this point."</p>
<p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: 0px; outline-width: 0px; outline-style: initial; outline-color: initial; font-size: 13px; vertical-align: baseline; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: transparent; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; padding: 0px; border: 0px initial initial;">Fleury, Pittsburgh's No. 1 goaltender, has been dreadful so far this season, going 0-3-0 with a 3.41 goals-against average and .853 save percentage. Backup Brent Johnson, who stopped 30-of-31 shots in the win over the Devils, is penciled in to get his second start of the season tonight.</p>
<p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: 0px; outline-width: 0px; outline-style: initial; outline-color: initial; font-size: 13px; vertical-align: baseline; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: transparent; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; padding: 0px; border: 0px initial initial;">On the injury front, Pittsburgh has learned that defenseman <span>Zbynek Michalek</span> will miss the next two-to-four weeks with a right shoulder injury suffered in Monday's win over the Devils. Also, defenseman <span>Brooks Orpik</span> is questionable tonight with a groin injury. Orpik has missed the last two games due to the muscle strain.</p>
<p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: 0px; outline-width: 0px; outline-style: initial; outline-color: initial; font-size: 13px; vertical-align: baseline; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: transparent; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; padding: 0px; border: 0px initial initial;">Pittsburgh won five of six meetings with the Islanders last year and has taken seven of eight and 11 of the last 13 encounters overall. New York also dropped its last eight games at the Igloo and the Isles have lost 11 out of 12 in the Steel City.</p>
<p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: 0px; outline-width: 0px; outline-style: initial; outline-color: initial; font-size: 13px; vertical-align: baseline; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: transparent; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; padding: 0px; border: 0px initial initial;">The Islanders are coming off Wednesday's loss in Washington and are 1-1-1 on the season. <span>Nicklas Backstrom</span>'s power-play goal with 3:39 left in the game lifted the Capitals to the 2-1 come-from-behind victory at the Verizon Center.</p>
<p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: 0px; outline-width: 0px; outline-style: initial; outline-color: initial; font-size: 13px; vertical-align: baseline; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: transparent; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; padding: 0px; border: 0px initial initial;"><span>Nino Niederreiter</span> scored his first NHL goal and <span>Dwayne Roloson</span> stopped 24 shots in defeat for the Islanders.</p>
<p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: 0px; outline-width: 0px; outline-style: initial; outline-color: initial; font-size: 13px; vertical-align: baseline; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: transparent; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; padding: 0px; border: 0px initial initial;">"I thought he played awesome," Islanders forward <span>Blake Comeau</span> said about Roloson's first appearance of the season. "He held us in there the whole game, especially in the second period when we were back on our heels a bit. That's one of the benefits of having two good goalies on the team."</p>
<p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: 0px; outline-width: 0px; outline-style: initial; outline-color: initial; font-size: 13px; vertical-align: baseline; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: transparent; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; padding: 0px; border: 0px initial initial;">It's unclear if Roloson or <span>Rick DiPietro</span> will get the start in net tonight.</p>
<p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: 0px; outline-width: 0px; outline-style: initial; outline-color: initial; font-size: 13px; vertical-align: baseline; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: transparent; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; padding: 0px; border: 0px initial initial;">Isles centerman <span>John Tavares</span> did not accompany the team to Washington on Wednesday and sat out his second straight game with a mild concussion. The No. 1 overall pick in the 2009 draft is questionable for tonight's contest.</p>
<p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: 0px; outline-width: 0px; outline-style: initial; outline-color: initial; font-size: 13px; vertical-align: baseline; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: transparent; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; padding: 0px; border: 0px initial initial;">New York defenseman <span>James Wisniewski</span>, meanwhile, will complete a two-game suspension tonight and be eligible to return in tomorrow's home test against Colorado. Wisniewski received the suspension for making an inappropriate gesture to Rangers forward <span>Sean Avery</span> on Monday.</p>
